Chris worked on this project as the primary engineer, implementing a complete redesign and several new custom features. Their goal was to not only provide an improved user experience for members but also to help their content creators gain more transparency into how their work is performing.
Taking a design from his team, Chris brought their site to life! In the process, he added features such as custom UGC (User Generated Content) mechanisms & reporting, Infinite Scroll to articles, custom management tools for their affiliate program, unique highlighted causes, their donation system, custom dashboards for users and staff, and a complete rethink of their inspiring stories newsletter. He also drastically improved site performance via multiple layers of caching, security through custom plugins and server settings, and integrated with several third party services and APIs.
